|The atmosphere, facilities and opportunities offered to members of our Sixth Form make the two years here an enjoyable and productive time, during which they grow as individuals within the security of a close and supportive community.
Around 30 to 35 pupils, mostly girls, join the school at this stage to make a Sixth Form of approximately 220. A co-educational Sixth Form adds an extra dimension to our pupils’ lives, and the atmosphere rapidly becomes an excellent preparation for the world of Higher Education.
Average class sizes of just ten and excellent student-teacher relationships consistently lead to performance well above the national average for maintained selective schools, as indicated by our impressive AS and A level results.
Whilst each individual student is encouraged to fulfill his or her potential in the classroom, teachers and students alike recognise the importance of developing a range of skills in preparation for Higher Education and beyond.
The Higher Education advice programme regularly leads to around 90% of students achieving their first choice of university.
