On Wednesday 31 January, the History and Politics societies honoured Holocaust Memorial Day by giving a talk on the tragic but important subject.
Mr Wearn explained the importance of learning about the Holocaust and how history can teach us not to make the same mistakes. He also spoke about anti-Semitism in today’s society and the Holocaust denial conspiracy.
Mr Marlow spoke about ‘Operation Anthropoid’, which was a code name for the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, a high-ranking Nazi official and the ‘architect of the Holocaust’.
Throughout the talks, students from Year 7 to Upper Sixth Form were given the opportunity to ask some thought-provoking and challenging questions.
