School Houses Sponsor Children in Uganda

Over the Summer, Sixth Form students set out from school to join with the work of ‘International Needs’ in Uganda. Students worked in the local villages and schools offering support to help these communities. During their time in Uganda, they were given the opportunity to meet families whose children needed sponsorship for their education.

Eltham College wanted to continue its support and has decided that each of the four Houses will sponsor a child. Last week, the School held an ‘Own Clothes Day’ to raise funds for the children.

The money raised will go towards the cost of the child’s education as well giving them access to clean water and two meals a day.
