First Lego League Robotics Competition

For the second year in a row Eltham College’s Robotics D-Team (for Diverse-City) team travelled to the University of the West of England to represent the London East region in the First Lego League Robotics competition, hosted by the Institute for Engineering and Technology.

66 teams took part in the seven rounds of competition which ensued, from the robot game, design presentation and core values, to the innovation project which this year focused on retrofitting old buildings to support those with disabilities.

Taking part in the largest STEM competition in the world, with 38,000 teams worldwide, has been an unforgettable experience and our team will be looking forward to next year’s challenges, having learned so much about teamwork, engineering and programming.
