Double win for Junior School rugby teams against King’s Rochester

On Friday 6 October the U11s played rugby fixtures against King’s School, Rochester. At the request of the opposition our B team faced their A team and our D team played their B team.

The quality of rugby in the B vs D game was pleasingly very high with both teams going through the phases in attack and managing to maintain possession of the ball for their team. Eventually, Eltham proved too strong for the opposition and ran out eventual winners by 30 points to 10.

The A vs B game was a much tighter affair. In the first half, Eltham had the lion’s share of possession but the King’s School defence was resolute. The only Eltham player able to breach their defence was Kola Olejede who scored three fantastic tries in the first half with unstoppable runs. King’s came back in the second half scoring three well worked tries of their own. It was left to Kola in the dying minutes to score his fourth try of the day securing the win for Eltham.

A great way to round off another successful week of rugby in the Junior School.
