Eltham College Junior School Council

On Tuesday the Junior School Council met for the third time this academic year to discuss a number of issues raised by the boys across all four year groups. The 12 democratically elected representatives have already brought about some useful changes within the Junior School and this meeting raised some new issues that were important to the students. Matters that were on the agenda to be discussed included the introduction of a street dance club, allocating a specific ‘Buddy Bench’ for the sole use of Peer Mentors, and the potential to set up an indoor Climbing Club. Each councillor will feed back to their class, talk through these ideas with their peers and represent their views at the next meeting. Mrs Meier, who chairs the Eltham College Junior School Council meetings said: “I am extremely pleased with the progress we are making and the maturity shown by all of the school council members.”

The next meeting will take place next half term.
