GCSE results up for the third year in a row

Year 11 students are today celebrating achieving excellent GCSE results with grades improving for the third year in a row.  We are delighted that 86% of the year group achieved 8 or more grades at 9/8/7 (A*to A equivalent) and a staggering 99% of grades awarded were 9/8/7/6 (A*-B equivalent)

A truly remarkable group of students with 22% of the year group gaining straight 9s (the highest grade) and 45% achieving all 9/8 grades.

Tommaso, was among one of our students that received excellent results with 10 grades awarded at 9 (A*), he said: I am pleased and relieved with my results. It has been a really nerve-wracking time for me and the rest of the year group. I want to say a big thank you to all my teachers for all the support they have given me, especially over the past two years. After such a long time away from school I can’t wait to get back into class in September now.

Guy Sanderson, Headmaster, commented: For the third year in a row Eltham College GCSE results have improved. These are excellent results and every student should be rightly proud of what they have achieved.  I am absolutely thrilled for them and am very much looking forward to the start of the new academic year and welcoming all students back into school.”
