It’s a grade 9 in GCSE Astronomy for Head of Physics

Over the last academic year Head of Physics, Ajit Hindocha, joined 15 others at Greenwich Observatory every Tuesday night to learn more about Astronomy, as he prepared himself to sit a GCSE in the subject.

After starting to teach the subject to Year 9 Eltham College students, Ajit wanted to know more about the subject himself. After a year of learning and time spent revising in preparation for his exam, he passed with the top grade of 9.

Ajit says, “I felt a sense of relief and achievement when I got my grade. The time back in the classroom had reminded me of the pressure and anticipation of taking exams and how our students feel. I have learned a tremendous amount, and I look forward to taking what I learnt and passing that on to Year 9“.
