A key advantage of being a single-sex school is that our students are never inhibited about engaging with creative and expressive subjects.

Through our Co-curricular Drama our students conside their place in the world and their response to it. It helps develop their ability to collaborate, put themselves in the shoes of others, and express themselves with confidence. Co-curricular work on Drama is seen as essential to the success of the department, providing opportunities for all of our students to take part in performances.

Every lunchtime and after school there is a rehearsal of some kind taking place in Antony Barnard Theatre, and frequently the dance studio too. There are numerous shows across the academic year and our close proximity to London enables trips to see stage shows in the city throughout the year.
