Ski trip to Les Menuires 2018

Sun, snow, wind, rain, sleet and fog. The students on the 2018 Senior School Ski trip to Les Menuires were faced with a range of weather types. Despite this, the students were eager to hit the slopes each day, under the expert tuition of their Ecole du Ski Francais instructors. The four ski groups explored the mountains around the Skilt Hotel (our home for the week) for five hours a day, determined to improve their skiing ability.

The fun was not limited to daylight hours, with a full programme of après ski activities for the students. The Bumboarding Championship was claimed by Will Tregear (Year 9). Year 10 students, Tom Willis, Jack Millar and Lachlan Jarvie excelled in the Freestyle competition. Noah Compton sang his way to karaoke success, whilst a Year 10 team won the annual quiz.

As the coach descended the mountain en route to Lyon airport, students were already planning their return visits in 2019. Should you wish to receive information about next year’s trip, please contact Mr Hindocha (
