Year 5 under the Microscope

On Tuesday 11 June Year 5 students from the Junior School were welcomed to the Senior School Biology laboratories in order to take part in some exciting Biology lessons, as part of their Year 5 transition programme.

They learned how to correctly use microscopes to see very small things including making their own slides of plant specimens and saw the amount of life that exists in every drop of pond water. Each class left with an understanding of the importance that the discovery of the microscope has had and its value in all fields of Biology and related subjects.
